Tractor-Trailer Becomes Fully Engulfed In Flames On NJ Turnpike (Updated)

A tractor-trailer caught fire on the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County, authorities said.

New Jersey State Police responded at 4:11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 to a vehicle fire on the New Jersey Turnpike south outers, milepost 53.7 in Bordentown Township, according to spokesman Trooper Troy McNair.

Upon troopers' arrival, a Wabash tractor-trailer was found fully engulfed in flames, McNair said. 

There were no injuries reported and the cause remains under investigation, he said.

The right shoulder remained blocked as of 11 a.m., 511nj.org reported.
